The Poker Run 2020

The Trading Post, Centennial, WY., 2753 WY-130, Centennial

The Poker Run has been a Centennial, Wyoming tradition for over 25 years. This year, the February 29th event will start at the Trading Post where people can buy a hand of poker for $10, and your 1st card of 5 will be drawn. You will then need to find transport to the top of Barber Lake trail (either yourself or with a shuttle). Enjoy the ski/snowshoe/snowboard down the mountain!

At the end of the ski trail, hot dogs and a blazing bonfire are provided (BYOB). Last year Sheep Mountain Brewery donated a keg of beer. Expect music and entertainment of the ski/snowboard variety. And don't forget to have your 2nd poker card drawn at the bonfire!

After the bonfire, join us in downtown Centennial for live music by some great local Wyoming bands. Each participant will need to go to the Beartree, Friendly Store, and Trading post to draw the remaining 3 cards for their poker hand. When your poker hand is complete, drop it off in the box at the Trading Post.

All money collected from the poker hand fee goes toward paying the bands, the bonfire goodies, and poker hand prizes. Prizes will be awarded for the best hand, 2nd best hand, worst hand, and best costume. Winners will be contacted ASAP.
